Sunday came quickly on me. I don't like Sundays much because I allways plan to do bunch on weekends and seems I never managed to keep up with my plans. And I have to make some time to spend it with my family. At least, yesterday I have finished painting custom order I have, big silk piece for chuppah, 150cm x 140cm. Today boring part, cutting, dyeing and sewing strings to chuppah so it can be tied to four poles. And I really have to make some order in my studio and do big cleaning up before winter.

Sunny Saturday

It's going to be wonderfull day. Having my coffee while my daughter is watching her morning cartoons.
I started working on custom order yesterday, hand painted silk chuppah for Carribean Jewish wedding next year. I love doing custom orders, they are very inspirational and challenging. This chuppah is very colorful, sea themed, sea waves in turquoise and aqua are going to still water and transforming into leaves in green shades. The sun above in golden yellow to burnt orange is reflecting in the sea.
Yesterday I placed silk on the frame and have traced design with pencil, then applied clear gutta.
Can't wait to start dyeing.

At my studio

Just came to my home, made myself a cup of strong coffee and I'm looking at the scarf I started painting yesterday. It's silk taffeta, new silk fabric that I just diccovered few days ago, so rich, luxurious, with glamour touch, very demanding for painting. I find it very suitable for putting around neck, it just stays the way you put it.
OK, let do some work.
